Luton is a legal professional with a strong accounting background and substantial experience in banking and financial services. He enjoys working with people to understand business processes and solve problems as well as to develop his knowledge of the law. He is a strong negotiator with the ability to make good commercial decisions because he can identify the issues that are significant for his clients. His ability to manage high workloads and to acquire expertise quickly has allowed him to become an effective lawyer across a broad range of disciplines.

Admitted to practice as a solicitor by the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia, Luton practices predominantly in commercial law, corporations law, banking and finance, and commercial disputes and litigation, including director and shareholder disputes, developer and builder disputes, and contractual disputes.

Owing in no small part to Luton’s wide experience in a range of in-house roles at banks, investment banks, and at a top-tier consultancy firm, Luton has an intuitive understanding of business processes, security arrangements, compliance and regulation, securities law, market licensing including ADI and AFS licensing, and taxation. Luton is always uniquely well-placed to understand the commercial drivers and risks which underpin his clients’ interests, and deliver unparalleled value.
